Carine Séchaye

Siebel (Faust)

Carine Séchaye graduated from the Conservatory of Geneva with a dual degree in singing and acting, and pursued her training at the Opéra Studio International in Zurich. A recipient of numerous scholarships, she has also won international competitions such as the prestigious Placido Domingo Operalia. She has performed in Germany, Holland, France, Switzerland and Monte-Carlo where she made her debut in L’enfant et les sortilèges.

She has performed Cherubino, Dorabella, Mélisande, Octavian, Mercédès, Rosine, Orlovsky, Berta, Bersi, Sméraldine, la Périchole, Siebel, Sesto, Mallika and has given many concerts and recitals.

She recently performed at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in La scala di seta, in Monaco in Roméo et Juliette, in Tours in Così fan tutte, in Biel and Solothurn in Carmen and on a French tour in Barbe-bleue.

At the Opéra de Lausanne: Mercedes in Carmen (2008), the cat in Le chat botté (2009), Duke Reichstag in L’Aiglon (2013) and Hänsel in Hänsel et Gretel (2014).
