Johnathan McCullough

Harlekin (Ariadne auf Naxos)

A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music of Philadelphia, Johnathan McCullough regularly performs in the opera of that city. During the 2017-18 season, as part of the Emerging Artists Program, he played Mr. Greatorex in the world premiere of Elizabeth Cree by Kevin Puts and Mark Campbell, as well as Moralès in a new production of Carmen. At the Komische Oper in Berlin, he recently performed Fieschi in Die Gezeichneten, directed by Calixto Bieto, and Oromases in Zoroastre, conducted by Christian Curnyn.

Current projects: Hawkins in Fellow Travelers at the Lyric Opera in Chicago, Les sept péchés capitaux and Rigoletto as part of the Filene Artist Program of the Wolf Trap Opera, Carmina Burana in concert with the Boise Philharmonic and the National Chorale at the David Geffen Hall at the Lincoln Center in New York.
