Marie Lys

Adele (La Chauve-souris), Amour (Orphée et Eurydice)

Winner of the Bellini Competition in 2017, Marie Lys has worked with conductors Michel Corboz, Laurence Cummings, Daniel Reuss, Sigiswald Kuijken and Guillaume Tourniaire. After studying at the HEMU in Lausanne, she obtained a Masters degree with honours from the Royal College of Music in London then went to the International Opera School to study under Amanda's Roocroft. She has performed Adele (Die Fledermaus) and the Queen of the Night(Die Zauberflöte) at the International Opera School, Galatea (Acis and Galatea) with the Opéra Louise, Nanetta (Falstaff) at the Woodhouse Opera and Mina at the world premiere of Dracula ou la symphonie inachevée by Thierry Besançon. She founded the Duo Dalma with pianist João Araújo.

Current projects: Cleopatra in Giulio Cesare in Egitto at the Bury Court Opera, concerts with the Ensemble Vocal de Lausanne and recitals in Switzerland with the Duo Dalma.
