Robert Gleadow

Guglielmo (Così fan tutte)

Canadian bass-baritone Robert Gleadow continues to make his mark on operatic and concert stages around the world since his graduation from the Jette Parker Young Artists program of the Royal Opera Covent Garden and the Canadian Opera Company Ensemble Studio.

Highlights of the 2018/19 season include Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia at Musikfest Bremen with Le Cercle de l’Harmonie; the four-part role of Lindorf, Coppélius, Dr Miracle, and Dapertutto in Les Contes d’Hoffmann also at Musikfest Bremen; Voce di Lucifero in Il Primo Omicidio at Opéra National de Paris; Dvorak’s Stabat Mater with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra; and Haydn’s The Creation as well as Handel’s Messiah under the baton of Manfred Honeck with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.

Gleadow’s operatic highlights include performances with the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées as Leporello in Don Giovanni, a debut at Glyndebourne Opera as Guglielmo in Così Fan Tutte, Angelotti in Tosca with Houston Grand Opera, the title role in Opéra de Montréal’s Le nozze di Figaro and Colline in La bohème at the Teatro Municipal in Santiago, Chile.
