Serena Malfi

Angelina (La Cenerentola)

Serena Malfi studied at the Accademia Santa Cecilia in Rome and made her debut in La grotta di Trofonio at the Winterthur Festival. She then performed Annio in La clemenza di Tito at the Teatro Real in Madrid and the Wiener Staatsoper, Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro in Vienna then at the Oman Opera, the title role in La salustia at the Pergolesi Festival in Lesi, Zerlina in Don Giovanni at the National Opera in Paris and Così fan tutte, directed by Daniel Barenboim at La Scala.

She has worked with Sylvain Cambreling, Louis Langrée, Riccardo Frizza, Michele Marriotti, Ottavio Dantone, Alan Curtis, Corrado Rovaris, Jérémie Rohrer and Alain Altinoglu.

More recently, she performed for the first time at the Metropolitan, in the role of Cherubino, at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich in the role of Annio and at Covent Garden in the role of Rosina for ll barbiere di Siviglia.

Current projects: Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Canadian Opera in Toronto, La Cenerentola at the Wiener Staatsoper and at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples.
