After qualifying as a harpist and as a lawyer in Geneva, Sophie Graf studied for two years as a postgraduate at the famous Guildhall School of Music and drama in London supported by the Ernst Goehner and the Pro Arte Foundations. She studied then in the opera course at the Royal Scottish Academy of music and drama in Glasgow where she obtained a Master in Opera with distinction supported by the Migros Ernst Goehner, the Leenards Foundations, the Tillet Trust, the Texaco Award and the City of Geneva.
 
She won several prizes as the Jaccard-Villard Price, the David Kelly at the Mozart Competition, French Opera at the Saint-Anges Competition in Paris, Margaret Dick, YE Cronies, Frank Speeding Lieder in Scotland. She was finalist in Verviers International Competition in Belgium.

She participates at the “Escales Musicales” in Evian Festival, at the Emperi Festival, in Gstaad for “The Sommets Musicaux” and at La Roque d’Anthéron Festival. She sang under the baton of Jean-Yves Ossonce, Jean-Claude Malgoire, Fayçal Karoui, Pierre Amoyal, Claude Schnitzler, Stefan Sanderling….

She was Manon (Massenet) in Glasgow, Sophie (Werther/Massenet) in Tours, Naïade (Ariadne auf Naxos/Strauss) in Nice , Gilda (Rigoletto/Verdi) in Dijon and Rita (Donizetti), Frau Herz (Schauspieldirektor/Mozart), Gasparina (Canterina/Haydn), Julie (Monsieur de Pourceaugnac/Frank Martin), Adèle (Fledermaus) in Lausanne,  and Leïla (Pêcheurs de Perles/Bizet) with Opera Zuid in Maastricht and others towns in Netherlands, as well as in Tours in May 2007, Frasquita (Carmen/Bizet) in Theatre du Capitole in Toulouse en April 2007 as well as in Lausanne, Vichy and Japan in 2008.

In 2009 she sang the Niece/Peter Grimes at San Carlo in Naples,then Frasquita/Carmen  at the Theatre du Capitole in Toulouse, and  Laoula (L’Etoile/Chabrier) at the Grand Théâtre de Genève.

In 2010 she sang Paulus by Mendelssohn with Ensemble Vocal de Lausanne under Mo M. Corboz at the famous Folle Journée in Nantes, Bilbao, and Tokyo , and concerts in Lourdes and Mourenx with Orchestre de Pau (arias from Rossini, Mascagni, Puccini and Verdi). She gave a beautiful recital with arias from Debussy, Ravel and Rachmaninov  at the International Festival of Colmar with Vincent Coq (pianist of the Trio Wanderer) and appeared at the Avenches Festival in Lucia di Lammermoor.

Season 2010/2011 amongst others she returned to the Grand Théâtre de Genève and sings in Elektra. Summer 2011 she will return to the Avenches Festival and sing Gilda/Rigoletto.

She recorded for Mirare with Ensemble vocal de Lausanne under the direction of Mo Michel Corboz Les sept paroles du Christ by Gounod and Cesar Franck.
