Siroe is a tale, an idealized story that moves us, that wants to tell us a story, communicate something to us. Above all, it wants to teach us the difference between good and evil. By telling the tale of the crown prince Siroe, it wants us to know that good overcomes evil. The story takes place in a Persia detached from reality, in which the protagonists are completely fictional and hardly have anything in common with the historical characters of ancient Persia.

For the ancient Europeans, Persia was a far-away land of which only the porcelain objects, miniatures and magnificent poems and tales were known. We sought to recreate this world in Siroe. We drew inspiration from the colourful, fantastic and dreamlike Persian miniatures. Thanks to a dual video projection, the magical world of the royal palace of Susa will appear.
