When reading Tolstoy, one not only discovers extremely precise and deep descriptions of life in Russia, but also his complete and initimate understanding of the characters’ psychology. We enter Anna Karenina’s inner world through a psycho-erotic interpretation of her personality. The passions, metamorphoses and phantasmagorias that characterise Tolstoy’s work, are the essence and core of my choreographical reflections on the novel.
