This year, the HEMU – Haute École de Musique is renewing this initiative by opening participation to all Master’s students in vocal performance at Swiss music conservatories, as well as their recent alumni, in order to celebrate the wealth of emerging talent.

Founded in 2017 in memory of Claire and Willy Kattenburg, two passionate devotees of art and music, this competition has established itself as a springboard for young Swiss opera singers. It offers these artists the chance to shine in a setting where artistic excellence blends with pure emotion.

During the finale, the six artists, accompanied by the HEMU Orchestra under the baton of Jean-Marie Zeitouni, will perform on the prestigious stage of the Opéra de Lausanne. The finalists will bring their repertoire to life before a distinguished jury, transforming the evening into a musical experience where every note will resonate as a promise of the future.
