To mark the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth

The Ensemble Vocal de Lausanne is joining forces with one of the most prestigious phalanxes playing on period instruments: the 18th Century Orchestra, founded by the famous Frans Brüggen, to perform the Missa solemnis at the Lausanne Opera on 5 February 2020. Taking advantage of this exceptional collaboration, a second programme has been set up, around Mozart and his moving Requiem, introduced by the 40th Symphony and its breathless breath in G minor. Some 40 choristers and 50 instrumentalists will thus gather on the stage of the Opéra de Lausanne this Saturday 8 February 2020.
